The chart shows the PMI and year-on-year change in industrial production for the "big 8" countries/zones (The USA, Euro zone, China, Japan, Brazil, Russia, India, UK).
Economic activity continues to slow. Even though the extreme-adjusted PMI is below the 50% "recession line", the year-on-year percentage change in industrial is still slightly positive. All the same, the trends are clear. Two different indicators from different sources show the same thing: a rapidly slowing economy.
