.... but the trend is still down, and outside China, it fell, for the fourth year in a row. China is targeting 60% renewables capacity at its coal power stations by 2025, so global net coal power station capacity may start falling soon. Still, it's too slow to limit the rise in temperatures to 1.5 degrees C. Coal and China are key. And they are interlinked.
