Initial unemployment claims dip a little

US initial unemployment claims fell very slightly in the latest week, from 6.9 million to 6.6 million.  So far, 16.8 million people have lost their jobs in the last 3 weeks.  This is  13 % of the total for non-farm payrolls, which in the latest month (March) totalled 129.5 million.   And this process isn't over yet.  This recession, globally and in the USA, is going to be very deep.
