The plunge in battery prices

From Bloomberg NEF (BNEF)   Hat tip to The Guardian.   A compound rate of decline of 21% per annum--prices have fallen nearly 10 fold over 8 years.  If they fall another 10 fold over the next 8, EVs will equal 100% of car sales, and our grids will be primarily renewable.

 Note that Tesla is close to battery pack costs below $100/kWh, even if they're charging more because they need the cash as they build up profit.
