Chinese trucks alone accounted for 3.7 mbd of diesel consumption acc to a US EIA 2024 estimate. Displacement by e-trucks of 0.23 mbd this year and clearly heading rapidly south thereafter. Hopefully the rest of the world can also follow this trend ASAP.
Commentators keep on asserting that it would be difficult to electrify heavy trucks. China proves this wrong.
