The richest Americans get even richer

If you want to know why the poor vote for extremists such as MAGA or Brexiteers of AfD, this is the reason.  Ordinary people in the West have not shared in the rise in GDP.  It's all gone to the richest.  And the Left has ditched them.   Neo-liberalism's end result has been the rise of right-wing parties, because the Left is too feeble and pusillanimous, too afraid of offending the upper classes, too pathetic to see -- or care -- just how the bottom half of the population has been screwed.

And until that changes, they --- and we  --- are going to go on losing.
