An excellent video from PBS which explains why Earth was almost completely covered with ice for several millions years 600 million years ago. In it the presenter discusses the carbon cycle, and how sulphur dioxide helped cool the atmosphere. All of it is relevant to the climate emergency we face today. The science is the same. Only the starting conditions are different. And this time, it's not volcanoes releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere but mankind.
