May we all embody that spirit and hold tight to our compassion.
This is it. What I believe, deeply believe, should be the goal of all politicians, of all government. If that is called socialism, or old-fashioned, or utopian, so be it. It's what I want. It's the basis, the essence, of a civilised society. Let us embrace it.
