China's economy still weakening

It was widely assumed that China's economy would rebound strongly after lockdowns were stopped.  This doesn't seem to be happening.  The Chinese statistics office has just released June's industrial production.  Excluding the period of the Covid Crash (first couple of months of 2020), Chinese IP is growing more slowly than it has since 1995.

I'll be updating mu other Chinese indics shortly.

The yoy calculation in the chart is based on the cumulated,
 seasonally-adjusted, month-on-month change in IP.
As usual, you'll be able to see the chart more clearly if you click on it.
