12 months to April second hottest ever

The 12 months to April was the second hottest May-April period since 1880, according to NOAA, just behind May-April 2016, which was an El Niño year (there is no El Niño now!)  The trend remains inexorably upwards, at about 0.2 degrees C per decade.
