World EV sales for June

 World EV/PHEV sales were a tad lower in June than in May.   Average year on year growth remains above 6% (bottom chart).  I'll talk about US EV/PHEV sales tomorrow.  Note how because the first two charts are plotted on a logarithmic scale, they are approximately straight lines, showing roughly constant growth rates.   The growth rate can be read off the last chart.  EV/PHEV sales are more than doubling every 2 years, and will rise 8-fold over 5 years, if these growth rates are sustained.  World EV/PHEV sales will reach 3% of total car/light truck sales around the end of this year, and 5% by early 2020.
