From Electrek:
Tesla has achieved its Model 3 production milestone of 5,000 units in a week, according to CEO Elon Musk.
The CEO confirmed the achievements:
“Not only did we factory gate 5000 Model 3’s, but we also achieved the S & X production target for a combined 7000 vehicle week!”
Tesla had already achieved S & X production of over 2,000 units per week, but they are now apparently able to maintain that while making 5,000 Model 3 vehicles per week.

Of course, production will likely fall back a bit over the next few weeks, before picking up again. I forecast here that Tesla would reach 5000 a week Model 3 by June, even if it was just for one week, and 7000 a week (Model 3) by December. I now think they'll reach at least 10,000 a week of Model 3, S and X by December. Every week. In 2017, sales of all electric cars in the US from all manufacturers averaged 3,800 per week. That's a mind-blowing rate of increase. This is the S-curve flexing upwards.
I reiterate: every oil company, every independent service station owner, every legacy car maker which ignores this explosion in EVs will pay dearly.
